These chairs are very close in design to the "Mity Lite" chairs sold here in the past, but with some very important differences. Most importantly, they recognize the former design's tendency to fail in the mesh seat. While the new design also uses a plastic frame to hold the mesh in, there is now a subseat of flexible plastic with large round holes that prevent the mesh from being pressed too far into the frame. Space is provided between the layers so that you are not simply sitting on the more solid seat, but it is there as a preventative to the mesh coming untucked from its frame. In addition, the seat is bolted onto holders on either side, presumably allowing one to remove it and send it back to the manufacturer for repair should it still fail. I've got three "Mity Lite" chairs that I wish I could remove the seat to send back for repair! Another change is that the legs here are straight, so that they can be more easily stacked. Now we'll see if these last longer when used in practice!I bought these chairs to keep one at my apartment for an extra seat and the other at my fiancés house for when I work from home. I injured my tailbone years ago so I need to sit on a mesh bottom chair to be comfortable. These chairs are perfect, I feel supported and comfortable when I work throughout the day. I recommend buying these.Nice, solid chair. Well constructed. 4/5 stars bc it could be a bit more comfortable.Great folding chairs. Very sturdy. Only minus is that when folded, they tend to open when you carry them around.I needed a folding chair to take with me on visits because my sciatica doesn't like couches or recliners. This chair was perfect. Easy to transport and supports me just right. Well built.Perfect addition to my new home office.Great chair.Chair seems nice, but it is much larger than I was expecting and my existing card chairs. If I was 6'+ it would be perfect, but 5'8" me doesn't fit right. Will try it for another day but likely returning.Update: Returned.
