I've been using the VOXPO R55 chains (55 link, .043" for a 16" bar on a Stihl MS170) for the past five days cutting ponderosa pines. These chains have performed flawlessly, every bit equal to the Stihl chains which I've been using for the past 15 years.I'm thinning many trees on a large forest acreage; being able to cut as fast as possible is key for me. I put on a new chain every morning for a marathon cutting session. These chains have stayed very sharp and have had very little stretch. I am extremely impressed with this chain, and will buy more.These chains were sharp as-delivered and properly fit my Ryobi 12" chainsaw. The only problem I have with them is that instead of getting dull over time and needing sharpening, they tend to stretch out and use up all of the tension adjustment range on the saw first. This could be partly due to how fast my chainsaw runs. I recommend running them loaded down as much as practical to keep the speeds down and extend their life. And yes, I have verified that the chain is well-lubricated and the lubrication system on my saw is working properly. The original chain that came with the saw did not have this problem.I have been paying up to $22.00 per chain (Carlton & Oregon) at my local stores. I ordered these chains just to see how they compared. I worked in the woods today cutting down two 60+ foot Alder trees that were dead at the tops. After felling the trees I trimmed off the branches and cut the trees into firewood. I was cutting for over three hours and the chain stayed sharp. I could tell no difference between the Carlton chain and the Voxpo chain. One of the trees was over 22" in diameter (which is pretty big for a 16" saw). I will be ordering more of these chains in the future.Inexpensive chains to swap out on my pole saw and battery saw for when they get dull. Not the highest quality, but for the price, I'll continue to buy them several at a time.Ok, 3 chains for $24? I was pretty skeptical. Ordered them anyways. Well as it turns out they cut better than the original chain that came with my Stihl MS-170. I have been preparing for winter and cutting firewood for about 3 weeks now. I have 2 bigger saws than the 170, but it honestly cuts better than all of them with these chains.worked great.These are fantastic!!! And the best part is having a backup if you nick a rock. They cut fantastic!!!Way less expensive than in-store options. Cuts smoothly + aggressively on older 12" Echo "one hander". Too early to know how well chains hold up.
