Bought this for Euro Nymphing which is what it was made for. I've now use this as my primary rod, either Euro Nymphing or casting dry flies and streamers. I have the 10ft 3wt Rod and I've overlined it with a 4wt line and reel. I'm casting 20+ feet further than I can with my 4wt rod. I'm even able to swing a size 6 woolly bugger down to a size 20 zebra midge with no effort, this is an excellent rod, I highly recommend it.Couldn’t ask for moreSolid rod. Definitely a deal for what you’re getting in a nymphing style rod. I think other compatible fly rods would cost another $50 to $100. Also would be great as a backup.Just received this two days ago. Didn't have much time to fish but had to check it yesterday with an hour on the stream. As expected, it handled the roll/cut cast that puts the nymphs in the water ahead of the line and leader. Hooked a couple of fish as I learned the cast. What really surprised me was when I switched reels to a 5wt fly line and started throwing beautiful loops and dry fly casts. I'm thinking this is my new all around fly rod. Also have to add that it's a beautiful rod with all the little things taken care of in a nice rod case and sleeve. All in all, a steal at this price. This fly rod is incredible.. It has incredible feel, fast loading and great accuracy. I will say it's as good as my Sage 10' #4. It is strong and I am confident it can handle anything I catch.Love this rod. Using it for a light Stillwater rod for casting indicator rigs. Paired with a 5 weight line it cast great. Love Echo rods!I usually build my own rods but just getting into euro nymphing and saw this for essentially whatI’d pay for materials so thought I would give it a try. Have my hands fully tying a bunch of new style flies this winter.Definitely pleased - I got the 3wt, which has half wells grip, nice reel seat and a small fighting butt. Wraps are nice, well covered with medium build-up on single foot guides (accept for stripping guide) and nice little details like alignment dots on ferrule joints.Definitely light and even branded euro nymph specific though I’m sure you could use for indicator nymphing as well for a little extra reach. For those like me who refuse to pay $800 for a fly rod, give this a look.Nope, not an incented review - see my other reviews ?
