I bought this reel because it geared towards euro style fishing. I'm am very unimpressed. Im running a euro specific fly line the the line constantly jumps of the side of the reel which them makes it impossible to reel in a fish. Honestly I am perplexed that this design even made it to the shelves. Not only that you would expect the reel to have some weight to it to balance out your long euro style rods since that's what it's made for. With the light reel the rod is super top heavy which makes it very tiring to fish. That feature I could Honestly live with but the spool design is absolutely flawed. Spend the money and buy a redington tilt which is what I'll be doing after I send it back.I dont recommend this reel the material is very soft so it bends easily, also my line gets stuck in it or around the spool all the time. I ended up getting a ross reel and will never buy anything from echo again.Love how light it is but line gets tangled in spoil, preciously what this reel is intended to prevent.Well respected company called Echo Fly Fishing makes a reel called "Shadow Click" Reel. It's an inexpensive (~$100US) well constructed 2/3 and 4/5wt reel.this product is NOT the ECHO brand reel.I won't comment further about this particular one with the strikingly similar sounding name.I’ve loved all of of the CJ Box novels, but found Shadow Reels unreadable. I couldn’t handle all the Antifa nonsense. I don’t need any author to impose there screwy political views (left or right) on an otherwise enjoyable read. I barely made it halfway through the book before giving up. Bummer.The Echo Shadow Euro Nymph reel is perfect for use with a mono rig system for Euro Nymphing. A number of reviews criticizing the reel may not realize there is is adjustable frame (the cage that can be re-positioned by rotating it) to be in line with the mono line going out to the guides. By running the line through this cage it is impossible to get line tangles. IN contrast I also have an ORVIS Clearwater reel that routinely gets mono line tanglesThe plastic clicker broke. They supply an extra in the box, but it broke too within hours of actual use.This reel is supposed to be designed to run thin lines with no issue. It does NOT PLAY WELL WITH MONO OR EURO LINES, which it is specifically dedigned to do. Constantly slips off the back of the reel. Will be returning
