December 2016:I normally wear large in most clothing items. Small too tight, XL swims on me. But I ordered this item based on the sizing chart, which based on my measurments, clearly put me in the medium for this garment. So that's what I ordered. Bummer...... too small in real life. Luckly Amazon is good on returns. So they e-mailed a postage paid return label, and as soon as UPS scanned it I was refunded. I did order the large and waiting for arrival. I will say, if you are close on the measurments, up size it. Only three stars because of fit chart. However, I did play with the pockets and know I will like it a lot in the correct size. UPDATE POST EXCHANGE January 2017: The exchange proccess through Amazon was a piece of cake. The new size large arrived and fits as expected. I typcally wear large but the sizing chart led me awastray to medium. So order as you would normally in sizing for sm-med-lg. The adder system pockets work great. I will use them to stow a G43, G27, or G19, all of which I have tried for fit & draw, and are fine. No issues with a G22/17 either. I like that the draw is a-typical, and you are not telegraphing with a reach to "4-Oclock" or apendix. It really is fast. The hook & loop material seems stout. The snaps are small, but thoughtfully so, so they break away easy, yet still ad a little extra hold at the corners for the velco. I like the metal zipper. I have too many articles that have suffered "death by zipper" because of plastic / nylon zipper tracks. The fleece linning does not come out making it a warm vest. I am an average sized guy 5'10" 175lbs. The vest is fine over a tee shirt and does fit over a fleece or mid weight sweatshirt fine for me. Good construction like you'd see on carhart brand. Plenty of pockets. A nice little inside pocket to stow a badge if you are LEO or otherwise and want to keep it handy if you to. The only thing I'd love to have seen, as another reviewer mentioned...... A double zipper, so you can wear is closed comfortably while sitting or driving by upzipping the bottom as needed. But not a big deal. Wearing it a couple weeks now and love it.Just got my vest, although late. It was supposed to be delivered over a month ago, but either didn't make it here. Emailed Berne two or three times, and I don't think I ever got a response. They did however send me a replacement, and the wait is well worth it.The Vest fits like a dream, handles a compact 9mm with ease in both front pockets. Ample space for any additional tools, mags, etc. VERY comfortable, and manages weight well as long as you distribute properly.I would recommend this for anyone looking for a quality vest for any purpose, be it work, hiking, or daily carryWarm, well made and comfortable. My only complaint probably has more to do with my belly than a flaw in the vest. Since the vest is on the long side (goes past my waist) I have to unzip it when getting into the car or the vest pushes up because of the concealed firearm and magazine. This makes it uncomfortable while driving mainly because it rubs against the steering wheel (my fat belly doesn't help, obviously). Secondarily, because of the vest length (a positive thing when standing), like I said ... It pushes up the vest in a way that bugs me while driving.To be clear, I think it's more my belly than the vest design. Someone who is in shape should comment on if they think the vest pushing up when it is zipped and they are seated bugs them.Overall it's a quality piece the does an outstanding job at concealment.Purchased this vest for my husband. The vest fit as was expected, 6.0' and 225 lbs. Extra Large was what the sizing chart recommended for chest size. Very happy with the purchase would recommend to everyone looking for a discreet concealed carry vest. this vest does have a liner that is not removable and maybe a little warm for hot summer days. We shall see. Overall very happy with so far. The reason for 4 stars is have not had the vest long, will see how well it holds up to everyday use. so far happy.My husband loves his vest...I read a few comments about vest running a little large ..And I would say a hair larger then a regular vest ..But come on you are carrying a concealed weapon...do you really want everyone to see it ..This vest is awesome works excellent for my everyday needs. It will fit my H&K 45c but it's a tight fit. Overall this vest is awesome and size chart is spot onVery heavy so it'll keep me warm in the winter. I wear it over a sweatshirt & it fits very comfortably. Plenty of pockets & is an excellent choice as a work vest.I like the vest. It is a little snug but will be fine especially once I lose a few pounds. It is a heavy vest. The vest has a fixed lining. So it is very warm. Great for winter but I would hope that the Berne designers would offer an alternative vest with a removable liner for summer wear. Also a vented back for air flow for summer.
