So we live in a really old house and the wood was starting to rot out of the door frame so the heavy door had to go. I got this as a replacement for my 13 year old son who is rough on things so I was skeptical but it was well worth it!!!!! It's way more durable and thick than I expected relatively easy to install I had never done it before had to cut off some of the bottom you definatly need a hand saw for that! And it actually does block out alot of sound. Overall very happy with this purchase
