Strong sturdy and built like a tank. Couldn't do without this now. Its not the prettiest chair to look at but I honestly couldnt function in the kitchen without this now. The seat is comfy and sturdy but the back rest had to come off as (due to my size) I kept popping it off (there is a model of this without the back rest). Having no backboard doesn't cause any issues though as the chair is angled (ever so slightly) to perch on and not lean back too far.
