Weed whacker attachment works great, leaf blower lacks power.Works great, plenty of power for over grown weeds and the blower has works great cleaning up sidewalks and driveways… or anything that need blowing off.Just as expectedI personally own everything in this bundle but I purchased it individually with my pas 266. I later acquired the pas 225 form a friend. The blower works great very quiet and effective The line trimmer was very good also but I later upgraded to the high torque version but to be blunt I saw no added benefit on my 266 but did notice a slight improvement on my 225.I have also added a curved shaft and I was suppressed on how powerful it was. I also added a brush cutter which I don't recommend using on a 225. I have to wind it up before hitting the area I'm going to work on but it still does a good job I just worry that it will prematurely kill the engine. Now the trimmer power unit itself is very nice, it starts up very easily, runs smoothly and runs most attachments including the pole saw I think my supplier told me not to run the bed attachment but not even the 266 is recommended to run that attachment. Why did I purchased the 225 when I own a pass 266 it I wanted to get a 225i engine or the parts to convert it over to a 225i is the reason. I wanted the i-75 starting system for my wife and I had the opportunity. I contacted echo and they told me it couldn't be converted even though it's the same engine. I think they are wrong because why would they have to totally different engines with the same displacement.I have no issues starting however my wife thinks it slightly more than she can stand so I modified it using the new I-75 starter found on the SRM 225i and GT 225i. This was a modification echo has denied repeatedly will not work. I toughly studied the parts diagram and saw no reason why it wouldn't work. I Took the risk and ordered the parts needed which are the starter kit pawl and gas tank guard and in less than 15 minutes after I received them I had it up and running. Just now I finally got echo to admit it will work but typical echo they told me it would void all warranties. Now the voiding the warranty I understand and to be blunt so what it's not like echo is known for their outstanding warranty coverage read the other reviews yourself. I have the world first echo Pas 225i which starts on a dime and my wife has no issues starting it look at my starter review for any details. I learned a trick on YouTube on removing the pawl you get a nice thick nylon cord and with the piston at the lowest point insert it to stop the engine from turning and then unscrew the pawl.I'm not sure why echo told me it wouldn't work maybe they really didn't know or maybe there that stupid. Anyways I have given echo my feedback and maybe you might see this model with a I -75 starter in the near future. As I told them in my letter PAS is really reared towards the homeowner. True professionals are not going to invest in the series because it's to expensive and they need the maximum performance on every tool. The pas is professional level equipment but with slight less volume for blowing hedging but all the other functions are basically the same.If you have read any of my reviews on echo equipment I say the same thing use good clean fresh fuel or premix fuel and keep you unit clean pull the line head off every once in a while and really clean it get all the funky green build up off soak it in oxy clean or some other strong cleaner and a small plastic brush scrub it.Line failures are due to crappy string old string grime build up and somehow loading it up wrong although I don't see how. The speed feed is the best feature a real no brainer load up 10 feet at a time don't force it don't tug on the lines really hard and you have a perfect combination.I also have a edger and pole saw attachment all powered by one unit by I like power equipment and maintain it really well so I own about 20 different trimmer blowers chainsaws and hedgers but if you're not like me this is your best bet one power source to maintain multiple tasks. Is it much cheaper than buying all the different units individually maybe but you only have to maintain one unit and with today's gas e10 the saving is in maintenance Fuel additives or expensive premixed fuels repower kits replacing multiple filters lines grommets. One power unit one headache vs multiple power units multiple headachesI'm a echo person although I own more Stihl equipment I also recognize other brands also do a great work like red Max but at a greater cost and are much harder to start and are much more loud so if that is not an issue there is better equipment.Echo let the cat out of the bag years back when they decided to partner up with HD. It meant that people that had no experience working with these types of equipment purchased it and couldn't maintain it properly. Most if not all the poor rating are due to improper care neglect and outright stupidity but also due to not knowing the changing conditions of today's pump fuels, and the effect they have on small engines.Commercial machines are designed to be used all day all week all year they never factored in they would be sitting on the shelf for a year or more with the same fuel and line feeder heads with grime build up. I have spoken with HD about all the failures and they told me 99% of them were customer related abuse and neglect.Even a seasonal user could have a lifelong tool if you properly maintain it, I have some of the earlier echo tools that still run as they did newI attach a picture of my pas and my little upgrades I have cut tubing and created holders for my power units so I can hang them up.the echo on the left is my 225 the one on the right is my 266
