I purchased this ramp to help my 60 pound older arthritic dog get in and out of a truck and SUV ( my back was getting sore lifting her).I debated trying this as I had one before that was more expensive, she hated the rubberized surface and would not use it. I am so glad I tried this one, after letting her practice walking on it inside a few times with a very small incline and a lot of treats I progressed to the truck, with a little guidance using the handle on her harness she went up the ramp, yay! I kept the incline gentle at about 25 inches, due to her arthritis, by putting it at the base of the seat then letting her step up onto the seat with just a little boost. She has since become a pro after just a couple of days and is much happier than when I lifted her as she keeps her independence. The ramp is well made, strong and with a very paw friendly ridged carpet that my dog feels comfortable with. Even though I purchased the long 71 inch ramp it folds up into a small square with a comfortable handle to carry it, it folds securely and does not flop open when carried but is still easy to open and set up, I actually balance it on my feet and just flip it open and put in place...I am a 58 year old woman and have no issues with the weight it seems lighter than my last one, it has a clip you can use to stop it slipping if necessary though it has nice rubber feet that hold it in place. It does not have sides which I was a little worried about before it arrived but it has not been an issue at all as I just line her up squarely to the end and guide her up, she has always been a bit of a clod but has had no issues .Lastly I had a couple of questions and the customer service was immediate, friendly and informative.I highly recommend this ramp.
