If you are looking for real Mayan hammock, this brand is made in the Yucatán by a family run business that weaves quality hammocks. I have purchased a number of hammocks from them and have never been disappointed.Mayan hammocks should be finely woven as these are (much like high thread count sheets). Cheap hammocks, sold to tourists, are loosely woven with huge spaces between the strings making for an uncomfortable bed and short life. These hammocks LAST—my granddaughters still play in my first hammock purchased in Yucatán in 1993. My dog (picture) has learned to love my hammock’s comfort. The difference between a real, traditional and finely woven hammock versus a cheap one feels exactly like the difference between high thread count cotton sheets and cheap sheets on your skin.In addition to quality, this family business has stellar customer service. They answer customer complaints and concerns immediately. Their shipping is amazing: I ordered my most recent purchase on 4/29/20 (full Coronavirus Pandemic), expecting to have the shipping take some TIME and being willing to wait.... My hammock arrived on May 1st! From Mexico! I did not pay extra—it was prime shipping—this is just how this company treats their customers. As for size—this particular hammock is large and fits a large, tall size person (and kids). The matrimonial is small and basically for one, but will fit two. Single won’t be big enough for a tall or large person. Jumbo is huge and will fit everyone.Support a Mayan business and get a quality, traditional hammock
