This is a substantial update over our last seat cover purchased in Amazon in spring of 2023 from another vendor, which has lasted for about 1.5 years. This new seat cover is a little bigger than the previous one (it even comes with a carrying pouch/case) but fits well in our Audi Q5 when used in the Hammock mode in the rear seat. The seat cover is heavier than I expected out of the package, indicating it is a solid build, and it does not have the weird smell t the previous seat cover had when it unfolds. According to the product page on the Amazon, the material is water-proof and durable which I believe are true, cause it feels like nylon or polyester. I think what makes this seat cover really stands out is 1) the seat part has an extra Velcro liner thereon, and the package includes an extra Velcro liner; and 2) the package includes 3 hard bases which you could place on all of the rear seats before you install the seat cove (one side of the hard base is actually cushioned), adding extra protection for the leather seats. It has the option to unzip part of it so it is not a hammock cover to make it a bench cover only. It also has a zipper that would allow for a person to sit next to the dog without sitting on the cover – – you can remove part of it. There is a built-in storage pocket on the hammock that goes behind the driver’s seat which is handy to hold a leash. All attached straps allow for complete coverage of the seat, if desired – – including armrests. However, if you don’t want these straps, they are easily removed. The mesh piece in the middle of the hammock allows for air conditioning to come through to our dog. That is pretty wonderful living in summer. I understand this new seat cover is marginally expensive than the one I bought previously but it is probably worth the extra dollars because it is thicker; it comes with a carrying pouch; it has extra liner on the cover also has a back up liner; and it has three hard bases to protect the seats which also makes the cover firmer to stay thereon.Installation was intuitive and easy. It takes only takes 1 min for me to install it.My dog seems to really like it as well.I have to mention that the vendor generously includes a dog water bottle made of silicon. Thanks!
