Features

APPLE CARPLAY - Connect your phone via a USB cable, and you’ll see a familiar interface displayed clearly on the screen

ANDROIED AUTO - Connect your Android phone via a USB cable to get traffic information, lane guidance, and real-time navigation assistance from Google maps. You can even send text messages, take calls, or check your voicemail through the simple interface. Android Auto also includes best in-class voice-recognition technology, so you can control everything just by speaking. Get directions, send messages, make calls, and control music while keeping your hands safely on the wheel

REVERSE CAMERA INPUT - If you’ve got a rear camera installed, you can use it to help you park. Whenever you tap the rear camera icon or put your vehicle in reverse, you’ll instantly bring the video feed up on screen. Customizable guidelines help you to back in smoothly and safely

EASY INSTALLATION - Despite its double-DIN display, the rear chassis is far smaller than conventional double-DIN units. This makes for much easier installation, and leaves plenty of room for cabling and other accessories in the space behind the display

Installed this in a 2007 Camry LE (speakers, but not JBL system) along with the proper wiring harness, a universal steering wheel control, and a backup camera.I first found some videos and then made sure I had the right tools and crimps and such. I decided to crimp instead of soldering and using shrink tube.Installation went on without a hitch, even wiring up the rear view camera.Outcome:Sound quality: An immediate and noticeable difference [for the better] in the sound quality of the OEM speakers. I was really surprised that just changing the radio made such a difference. The tweeters on the dash (by the windshield) were brighter, and the low end kick was significantly greater. I had planned on installing a woofer, but after the last couple weeks I find there's just enough that it's not needed.Call sound quality: My wife said that it doesn't sound that good on her end (on the phone) using the provided remote mic that I installed above the rear view mirror. I'll have to play with it more...maybe move the mic somewhere else. But others haven't complained. We'll see.Dash Controls: In hindsight, I may have been able to do the dash controls without the universal box. You may want to do some research or (if you have time and patience) try it without the universal box first. It may save you ~$50. But, in the end, it works. All there is, though, is volume, channel changing, and input changing.Touch screen: Pretty responsive. The only issue is seeing it if the sun happens to shine directly on it. And that does happen occasionally with a mid-sized car like the Camry.Bluetooth: Just fine. Well, the only thing that's a little bit of a hassle is changing between phones. It's pretty easy on our stock 2014 Toyota. But for this radio it takes some doing. You have to unpair the phone that's connected (or turn off that phone's bluetooth) and then connect the one you want. Even then it was a little finicky. We'll have to play with it more to figure out the best procedure. Oh, audio quality through Bluetooth is OK, but like any other some times it's either bass heavy or high-end heavy and has some distortion. But its no worse than the 2014 Toyota with stock radio.Radio reception: Really good. As good as any other radio I have. and there's a lot of presets. 3 layers of FM, each with 6 presets. 2 layers for AM, each with 6 presets.USB interface: We haven't tried hooking it up to a MP3 player or memory stick yet. But I suspect it will work just fine and give better audio quality than the bluetooth connection. We also haven't yet tried out Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. But those will likely work as promised and as well as they work on any other device.Camera: It works and the video is clear. But in hindsight I'd maybe do 2 things. 1) Find one that doesn't look down so much. Pay attention to the reviews. Some of them really have weird views. 2) Have the camera powered at all times, even when not in reverse (or have the ability to turn it on when not in reverse). This would require running a power wire along with the video wire. I never thought I'd use it, but during the first week of installation I had an occasion to do just that. And this radio allows you to look through the camera. But if you wire it 'normally' using power from the revers lights, then it doesn't have power and won't work if you push the button.Lastly, if you know what you're doing, you could wire up a second camera and use some switches to control which are powered. A 3-way rocker switch would do it. Some radios can handle multiple cameras. Not this one unless you get inventive.
