I didn't know what to expect with this varsity jacket. I vaguely knew that Champion had moved upmarket and gotten popular compared to where it used to be, but I am nonetheless surprised by the quality and design of this jacket. The photos don't convey how heavy duty and solid it feels. The color looks great and the felt-like feel of the fabric makes it hard to believe it's mostly polyester. The patches are loud and vibrant, but you're not getting a varsity jacket for a restrained look.The fit: I am 6 feet tall, 225 lbs, with a large chest and arms. The Large size has plenty of room in the chest and arms, and is even a little baggy in the waist. There is plenty of room for another layer beyond a t-shirt. This type of jacket is supposed to have a roomy fit, but keep in mind you might consider ordering a size down if you are on the low end of the range for a given size and you don't plan on layering. Nonetheless, I think this jacket looks best on a certain kind of bulky or muscular build.Thumbs up!
