The subwoofer's enclosure is only 2.7 inches thick, making it easy to fit under your car seat. The amplifier is built-in, so installation and wiring is simple and clean. We added the high level input so you can install it into an aftermarket or factory system. The high level input can be installed even without a preamplifier output (factory system without RCA output). RCA extension cable in the box. Installation to an aftermarket system is via RCA ports. Plug and Play. Usually, an aftermarket or factory system has a subwoofer control cable. GT-101 will sense that an audio signal is present and turn on the amplifier. When you turn off your music signal the amplifier built into this subwoofer system will automatically turn itself off. The enclosure houses the woofer and provides a sealed space that allows the woofer to move air efficiently and accurately, producing a clean and defined bass response. I have two of these mounted in a 1994 S10 single cab. My main concern was being able to keep my seat all the way back. These are easy to set up. They work great. sound decent as long as you understand that these are not the hard hitters from the 90s with 2 12"s in the trunk. Great price.
