In the words of Stefon for SNL - "This carrier has it ALL..." :)No, seriously, I am so happy I took a chance and purchased this carrier a few days before our planned road trip. Our cats are indoor only (3, 6 and 6 years old) and have never traveled farther than the vet. My mom lived with us and was our built-in cat sitter their entire lives. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in late October and she passed just twelve short weeks later - a devasting loss for all of us including the grand kitties who loved her so much. I'm a teacher so I was able to get vaccinated in February, but my husband (who was a kidney donor) couldn't find an appointment close to home. We decided to book the nearest one (4 hours away) and make a weekend trip out of it. I couldn't bear to leave my cats with a stranger so we found a pet friendly hotel and decided to go for it! The carrier is roomy (our cats are 10-15 pounders), SUPER sturdy, has excellent seat belt anchors, a soft, fluffy interior, smart design, velcro fasteners to hold the doors in an open position, strong seams, zippers were fantastic (but I used twist ties to give them a bit of reinforcement in case the tricky kitties tried o open them as suggested by another user). The center fold-down feature that allows you to create one big carrier was simple - the whole thing folds down flat and comes with a carry case. I am so glad I didn't go with one of the cheaper clones available online. They did great! Transported them safe and sound. And now their papa has his first shot of the vaccine. We're going to do a return trip at the end of the month. So relieved. Thank you One for Pets. I know that sounds dorky, but in a year filled with angst, sadness and loss - having happy, hopeful moments means everything.
