As other reviews have stated, you will need at buy around 4-6 longer screws per chair, the ones included are too shorts for the foot rest which are key for the chair’s structure and stability. With this adjustment these are very nice barstools, easy to put together. I was pleasantly surprised with how mid these are for the price. Had a friend ask if they were from pottery barn! Huge upgrade from my old ikea stools
