I bought these ignition coils for my aging xB. My box probably has around 230k on the clock, and I'm the second owner since about 100k. My car has always been a solid runner, and my daily for the last 9 years now. We've been on multiple cross country missions, etc.As a car guy, I always keep up with routine maintenance and address things as they come up. Recently, my beloved box developed an intermittent misfire. Sometimes it would happen upon start up, other times it would happen while driving and then go away. It would cause the CEL to illuminate but often times would clear itself by the next start cycle or in a matter of minutes. Knowing my plugs were new, without reading the codes, I started some diagnostics while the car was idling; disconnecting the connector to each coil until I found no change.I had initially ordered these coils sometime back in December, but due to a snow storm in my area, the order was sent back. As my box's issue was intermittent, I kind of lived with it until one day she was missing so bad at partial throttle that leaving my driveway was questionable at best. I ordered these and they came within a couple of days.The install is very simple, even the non-car guys out there would have no trouble. A few 10mm nuts hold on the plastic engine cover, then another 10mm bolt secures each coil to the valve cover. Install took me about 5 minutes or so. Upon initial start up, I was shocked. My box was idling so smoothly! The first drive was a refreshing shocker, as I had realized how much she was down on power, and drivability.Now that my car is packing all 80WHP of glory, or whatever she makes, she's ready to terrorize the streets everyday once again. Though she's not taking down new C8's or exotics, she humbly gets to the grocery store and back without any hiccups. Her fuel economy has improved slightly, which does help in these trying times.Buy with confidence... These things are solid. I may even buy more of these to use on my project car to covert to a coil on plug setup!
